This particular mash-up turned me off from Vegas shows completely.

If I had known a guy I’d never met was going to pay for our meals, I’d probably not have ordered a punch bowl full of margarita.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Actual audio from the restaurant where I sit, awaiting my party. What you don’t get in the clip is how deafening it is.

Update on the herbal beverage. Smells like warm, clean hair. Tastes vaguely of Honeycomb cereal. Also, I may now be kind of high. Verdict: not as bad as it could be. If things look notable different from the bottom of the glass, I’ll let you know. And I’ll direct you to your nearest retailer.

I bought what I thought was a small box of loose leaf Chinese tea at 99 Ranch Market yesterday. In the box were many wrappers like this. The actual product looks like cubes of brown sugar. Water boiling now. Curious as to what this “herbal beverage” will actually be like. Decided blind experimentation is the best method for buying Asian tea products.

Celebrities, I feel SO BAD for YOU.

hilarysiegel:

HOLLYWOOD stars are starting to feel the economic pinch. “Salaries are being cut. Unless you’re Will Smith [above], you are not going to get $20 million a movie anymore,” said an insider. To make matters more meager, “back-end” deals - where a star or big-name director would get a cut of the gross - “are dead. Those deals are not being offered to anyone. Not [even] Steven Spielberg. It’s, ‘Here’s your salary and go home.’ There is no negotiation between stars and the movie studios anymore. The studios make an offer. If the star says no, the studio says, ‘We’ll find someone else.’ “

[NYP]

Attention Celebrities: You can suck it.

I feel a little torn. But maybe if stars didn’t make quite so much more than everybody else, we wouldn’t all wish we were them and would hopefully feel a little bit better about who we really are. But being an actor is, I assume, kind of like a lottery. Most end up being career waiters while trying to get a break. Philosophical and moral issues aside, it makes sense to rework the system a little bit. Now if they’d stop making such expensive piles of steaming crap and made story and character the focus, money wouldn’t be quite so tight, hmmm?

While routinely cleaning up the house, in complete silence.. I can’t explain.

They’re judging you.
