I was sure this site was going to try to sell me something (or install adware or something), but so far, it looks really awesome. Randomly changes your desktop from a huge collection of really cool images. Mac version works beautifully. Haven’t tried the PC flavor. I hope my praise isn’t to hasty, but so far, I’m impressed with the desktops I’ve seen.

Update on the herbal beverage. Smells like warm, clean hair. Tastes vaguely of Honeycomb cereal. Also, I may now be kind of high. Verdict: not as bad as it could be. If things look notable different from the bottom of the glass, I’ll let you know. And I’ll direct you to your nearest retailer.

Couple with that my nearly solidified decision to sell my home computer to the company I work for so that I can buy a Mac, and I’m barely able to breathe. I know, Macs are supposed to be easy and wonderful and all...

Anticipating the move
We decided on sooner rather than later for our move. I drove twelve hundred miles last week to retrieve my heart, which had boarded a plane for the west coast without me. Now I get to drive back. Then, after an exciting week or two of repacking all the things we finally got unpacked, I get to make the trip again. This time in a giant truck that eats money.

Homecoming
This last October my wife and I moved to Texas. From southern California. Everyone warned us about the impending culture shock. We’re a resilient people, though, and I assumed we’d adapt quickly. Turns out they were right. We’re on a short visiting holiday right now in California, and the idea of going back to our home in Texas is strange and uncomfortable. It’s clear now...

Weak sauce.
This Tumble Pro app for the iPhone is pretty weak. The actual page loads fairly easily in Safari. Too bad none of the customization bits load correctly. Guess all the initial setup will have to be done on the old ‘puter.
